The Suzuki GZ250 has controls placed a little farther forward to give a bit more room if your legs are longer, but still has a low center of gravity and an easy to handle weight.  A super low seat height means a very stable feel even if you are not very tall.  The GZ has wide, stable tires that give it the feel of a bigger ride.

How to choose your 1st Bike

If you ride with us at our Eustis location, you can choose to learn on a Harley Davidson Street 500.  This full sized Harley will give you a real feel for the ride and handling of its legendary family history.  Liquid cooled and easy to handle, it is the perfect introduction to a riding style that can become a life style.  Gator Harley Davidson in Leesburg provided this ride. Before or after your class, visit them and let them help you take the next step on your journey.

The Honda Nighthawk is a standard style bike, with an upright seating position that makes it easy and comfortable to ride and maneuver.  This one is a great way to start riding if your goal is a sport bike, since it is super responsive without the leaned forward position, kind of the best of both worlds.

The Honda Elite and other scooters in our fleet have automatic transmissions and step through seat configurations.  Choose one of these if you plan to ride a scooter, and you can train on the same type of ride that you will be riding on the street. Don't let their name fool you, scooters are real motorcycles, they require skill and training to really ride well.  You will earn a full motorcycle endorsement, whether you choose a shifting model or one of the automatics.

The Kawasaki Ninja is a very capable road bike, and a great training bike if you already have some street skills. It will help you advance your skills and challenge your abilities in a fun and exciting way. If you are brand new to riding, choose the Nighthawk or one of the other models, then move your skills to your street bike later, or come back to ride the class again with us on the Ninja just for more practice.
